Tourism is the largest industry of these Islands. To manage this industry there is a high demand for professionally trained manpower. To supply effective human resource to handle the industry, the JNRM, Port Blair introduced the course BBA(Tourism & Travel Management) in the academic year 2000-2001. The department has intake capacity of 30 seats per year. As per the course curriculum the department organize two months on job training programmes, study tour & other such activities to the students to make them well equipped for the Industry. The passout students of the department are well placed in reputed tourism organizations like Tomas Cook, TCI, SITA, Indian Airlines, Kingfisher, Jet Airways etc. Some of the students are also having their own tourism business in various Islands of Andamans.
